FIE Covid-19 Outline of risk-mitigation
In view of the current world situation, it was decided that only the following measures will remain compulsory during FIE events, with immediate effect: - Facemask, except when fencing, training and eating; - One Covid-19 rapid test for all participants upon arrival in the host country. The rapid antigen test used must be WHO-approved. Additional Covid-19 tests are no longer required during the competition. In case a rapid antigen test is positive, the test result will be confirmed by a PCR test, if enough time allows it. Therefore, all participants must plan to arrive in the host country a sufficient time in advance. Late arrivals of participants will not allow the follow-up PCR tests results to be obtained on time for training and competition. In such cases, participants will not be authorized to take part in the competition and will be eliminated. All other sanitary measures at the competition indicated in the FIE Covid-19 Outline of risk-mitigation may be implemented by the host federation at their option. However, in case the Covid-19 situation would worsen, the sanitary measures will be revised accordingly, and federations will be informed immediately.
